Arena Maps

Post by Shiki »

Two maps ported from older servers!

Quick fights in a battle arena where one can recruit onto almost every field.
Small maps with low starting gold, games don’t take long.

You might trap another, but as there are many players, you might expose yourself. At the same time, you also want to avoid one player becoming too strong.

Clash in Cave (6p)
created by Ravana and Uesmae
  • Many bonuses: healing potions, leader revival, Orocia-style upgrades.
  • Map forms a Little Ring, onto which one can recruit.
  • Random terrain changes on bonus fields.
ArenaZ (3p/6p)
created by Zat
  • Wider Arena, one can recruit onto any hex.
  • Incoming Yetis give time pressure (optional).
  • BonusTile add-on is a good addition to this map.

Sounds like some fun maps! EDITED Should it be simply uploaded to the add-ons server, if it's already ported and works?

Needed to create the thread first, to link to it in the add-on description. Moved the thread now to MP forum :-)

It's on 1.14, 1.16 and 1.17.

Good memories from developing little ring. Much of the wml skills became useful for orocia later.

Great fun, just tried ring. I did play the AI but in spite of that it was a hum dinger. If the AI accidentally goes to its potion the human gets asked whether it should drink the potion. As a good sport I did when I saw the unit was in the red and needed it. :)

Reminds me of Royal Rumble Lava Village but with more fun stuff.

P.S. the central anim _does_ get a tad irritating. :) I think that's because it flickers too fast.
