This is the thread for the single-player Saurian campaign, Vendraxis Prophecy.
The campaign has 8 scenarios and is playable.

Updated on 10.03.2024:
Required BfW version: 1.16.x (Version 1.1.6d)
Required BfW version: 1.17.26 or newer (Version 1.1.16)

The description from the main file:
I created an small saurian campaign, based on a prophecy from a saurian soothsayer called vendraxis. He is know for the campaign Secret of the Ancients. I also added an Era with deep-saurians a independet saurian faction for tests.

I try to credit all the portraits and sprites I used for the campaign or what I modified.

I like the story and I enjoyed as I am happy to discover new images for units and profiles.

Played 2 scenarios so far and its good. I played on 1.17.13+dev version so I got a lot of ID clashes for this one but seeing the content, I can see why.

I was a bit confused as I was visually mixing up Young Saurian and Saurian Hunter for the Skirmisher. I also got confused with the Saurian Shaman and Augur looking alike when both was facing north.

I also fixed up some code especially the SPECIAL_NOTE part. Was it that what you meant with ID clashes?

For the saurian skirmisher problem.
I decided to do a meele and a ranged variant. The Hunter is the ranged variant of the skirmisher and The fighter is the meele variant. I added a comment in the first scenario, hope it helps.

For the saurian young. They will always be loyal and only available in the first scenario. I made them a litte smaller. I thought that will distinct them enought from the advancements.

Orginally I got this model for the Young, but I scraped it. It didn't make sense, that a unit changes from pick-axe to a spear,

Random idea: if the Young Saurian is supposed to be a level 0 unit (I haven't played the campaign yet), how about giving it a completely wooden spear? It'd be visually different and also recall the Noble Youth -> Noble Fighter progression in TRoW.
Current maintainer of these add-ons, all on 1.16:

That is actually a good Idea. Maybe like that?

Yes, I think it works. I'd remove that white shine on the tip of the spear and make those white pixels light brown; other than that, it looks good.

Thanks a lot. I also created a wooden spear as projectile.
It will be in my next update.

Update is up.
I added a new scenario number 6.
Reworked the advancement tree and reintegrated the mainline saurians and the saurian-pack from the add-ons.
Advancementtree is on the first page here.

Another Update is up with scenario 7. I decided that I will make 8 scenarios.
So next scenario will be the last one.
Did many bugfixing. I believe that updating will crash the savegames.

Final scenario is up.
There were some bugfixing in scenario 7, but now the campaign should be fully playable.
Enjoy.

P.S. I'll check my code and bugfix or adjust here and there, before I upload it as 1.0.0.

Hi,

really like the campaign so far.
Im now in scenario 5 with the deep saurians the first time.
If I end it, the campaign is over.
How do I get to the next scenario?

You need to Update the campaign to Version 0.8.1.
That should be save game compatible. If not, please send me your savegame.

It would be more save to start a new campaign. I changed a bit with the unit set up.

Version 0.9.0 is out.

It is important to update to this version before scenario 8. scenario 8 is not winnable. I fixed this bug with Version 0.9.0 and added a epilogue.
