add-ons server not connecting other problem

Hello everyone,
I'm French, so if you speak French, that's better for me..


I'm under windows 7.
wesnoth version 1.16.2
I try to get add-ons inside the game with add-ons.wesnoth.org

it tells "distant server disconnected".

but on my laptop computer it works.

I tried with cable and wifi, it doesn't change anything. that's not antivirus (I have the same on both and wesnoth is authorized)

so the difference is elsewhere.

I tried to download directly add-ons on the website but there is errors when I launch a campaign I downloaded like that and wesnoth crashes and shutdown. but I just solved the problem.... I don't understand why but I have a folder in "C:\Program Files\Battle for Wesnoth 1.16.2" and one in "C:\Users\BOUDON\Documents\My Games" so if i put in addons folder of the second it works....

so if there is a SIMPLE solution for "distant server disconnected" problem I take

and my english is low so write simple sentences please

When you're connecting from in-game, are you using addons.wesnoth.org or add-ons.wesnoth.org?

by default it's add-ons.wesnoth.org but I tried both. same result.

that's strange.

and wesnoth.exe is authorized into bitdefender firewall (I have bitdefender too on the other computer)

Can you: go into the advanced preferences > logging > set network to debug > attempt to connect to the add-ons server using add-ons.wesnoth.org > post the full log file here?

Well, If the problem comes from my windows, don't search more, that's an old windows. And if not, don't search too much ahah. . IT was if there were a simple solution.

i have same problems and i am also on windows 7(j'ai le même problème et je suis également sous windows 7)

It looks like it isn't using the updated certificate to connect - the DST Root CA X3 certificate that the logs mention has expired. Windows 7 supposedly should work fine as per this which for Windows says

Windows >= XP SP3 (assuming Automatic Root Certificate Update isn’t manually disabled)

trop compliqué pour moi, faut télécharger un truc et je n'ai même pas compris où trouver le bon. mon PC fonctionne très bien donc je vais le laisser vivre comme ça merci quand même pour l'info !

il faut aller sur le site https://letsencrypt.org/certificates/ et télécharger ISRG Root X1 -> Self-signed .der ou .pem,
quand c'est fait ouvrir une ligne de commande comme indiqué ou alorq ou alors double-cliquer sur le fichier.

Une fois le fichier ouvert, cliquer sur installer le certificat, puis choisir l'option "Placer tous les certificats dans le magasin suivant" et "parcourir"; dans la fenêtre parcourir, selectionnez "Autorités de certifications racines de confiance" puis valider et cliquer sur "suivant", puis "terminer". Une fenêtre d'avertissement apparaitra, et enfin cliquer sur "oui" pour confirmer l'installation.

Normalement vous devriez pouvoir relancer extensions dans wesnoth avec la bonne addresse 'add-ons' avec le tiret.
