Add-on with only .mo files, how to update?

If you have downloaded an add-on that has existing translations but they are all saved as .mo files only is there any way to update those .mo files if only a small update is required because a little of the original text changed?

wmlgettext will make a new raw .pot file but that's starting from 0.

Is there a program that'll convert .mo back into .po?

I believe msgunfmt will do that.
