Aristocats won after a long and hard fight - well played Ancient gamblers

tbh we thought you would destroy us with drakes on east side after reload, but Luni used pro scare tactic with assassin 8)

Nice to have a compo, but I found it inconvinient to have to wait to know what my next map and pairing was. The first time it was published on wednesday so it didn't leave much time to hook up with the other team. Also, the dropped matches and teams should maybe have been counted on prior to starting, with clear rules beforehand so no voting about it would be necessary mid compo. Aside from that, the compo ran as smoothly as the teams managed. Nothing is perfect, the next compo will just be better. For the maps I only found one to be imbalanced, but that could just be me.

My suggestions would be to model the compo on football, as it is very similar in format, with no show teams losing by default. A live score table would be great too, I had to wait till you tallied all the points to see the standings. Don't get me wrong here please, I'm just pointing out what I think are bad points, so the post might come out as a negative one. Overall I think there have been more positives than negatives. A discord chan on the wesnoth discord could have been utilized to make the team communication better as checking my messages on the forums is less convinient then just pinging someone on discord. This potential chan could have been also used to post screenshots and demos of the games (it's a drag and drop action) instead of having to upload them somewhere and then linking them here on the forums (the links would expire sooner or later).

Personally I think my team should have done better, but it is what it is, we lost mainly because of bad play, not things out of our own control. I hope we can do better next time. I was really hoping we'd do better, so I guess we'll just have to practice more for the next one. Most maps we played were a first for us, so obviously there was a serious lack of preparation on our behalf.
