Forgotten Conflicts: Single-Scenario Campaign Set (Version 1.3.1)
Forgotten Conflicts
These are tales long lost in the shadows of the past. Some of valor, others of loss and betrayal. Knitting together fragments of the days long gone, the battles shall reveal the strife of ones disregarded by the keepers of our lore.
(Expert level, 12 scenarios.)
I noticed beetlenaut and a few other devs often mention a series of single-scenario campaigns that could describe different events in the Wesnoth timeline. However, they said they wouldn't be able to work on it since they didn't have the time. Thinking about the idea for a while, I came up with some sort of an idea. The campaign consists of several single scenarios that describe numerous events in the history of Irdya, allowing players to recruit units that are otherwise not used in mainline campaigns.

Awaiting feedback and criticisms.

Re: Forgotten Conflicts: Single-Scenario Campaign Set (Version 0.6)
I don't see this campaign in the addons list.
Re: Forgotten Conflicts: Single-Scenario Campaign Set (Version 0.6)
Seeking out the Saurians in S1 doesn't seem to work.
EDIT:
Bug in turn 19:
Same thing happens in turn 22.
EDIT 2:
Betrayal
You forgot to set Shan Taums keep as a trigger for his bodyguards. Or make their trigger any unit that moves over the Encampment hexes (instead of to an Encampment hex).
Right now I can just steal his keep and deprive him of recruiting.
EDIT 2:
Last stand of Thunedain
ery entrance-> very
EDIT:
Bug in turn 19:
Code: Select all
...unknown unit type: Cavlaryman...

Re: Forgotten Conflicts: Single-Scenario Campaign Set (Version 0.6)
Saurian stuff does work, only on a certain hex range.
Is the dwarf scenario ok otherwise?
Also, sorry for the errors, thing is, I am occupied with multiple projects at the moment making things a bit messy.
Also, I never proposed the campaign for mainline, I don't get why so many people are riled up?
Fixes delivered in Version 0.6.1

Re: Forgotten Conflicts: Single-Scenario Campaign Set (Version 0.6)
No, it isn't. The only way to win is to die after defeating the enemy leader? Maybe tell me that before I killed every enemy on the map. ._.
There is also absolutely no sense of urgency, it does not feel like a last stand. More like a regular day at work. I mean, seriously, my team starts with more gold than the enemy does. xD What kind of orcish horde is that?
(I suggest adding a constant wave of enemy reinforcements, turning into a huge wave every turn once you defeat the enemy leader, removing the turn limit and the 'turns run out' defeat condition.)
You did propose TTA for mainline and that's what people talked about. I did not see someone get riled up over it.
EDIT:
A Fitting Farewell
Sorry, but I don't see how this makes sense. :/ They crossed the Great River, passed by Elensefar, traveled from north to south over the lenght of the kingdom and arrived south of Blackwater port?
Why not go to Elensefar and set sail from there once the city falls?
And the teamname 'Knights of Elense' is very questionable as well.

Also, Fitting Farewell is based off of Liberty dialogue, check the Epilogue of that campaign.
Relana annd her villagers were driven towards Wesnoth since the northlands were too dangerous, and Elensefar was safe for a while (Liberty scenario where Baldras meets Lord Maddock) but then was seriously under attack, destroyig the harbors. So, the next safest was Blackwater Port.
I have added the above detail to the scenario in version 0.6.2, as well as made changes to Scenario 5 to match your comment.
Appreciate your time and effort to report bugs and issues.

S6
I have to point out that Relana did not decide to leave because of her meeting with Baldras or rather that this was not what they talked about in this meeting.
Instead they decided for Baldras to look for allies while she stays and keeps the villages safe. And they only learned throughout the meeting that the orcs are Asheviere's allies. Before then they had at most a cursory fight with her orcs.
It is not sure who made Relana flee in the end, only that the they must have been part of Asheviere's forces, so it was probably both orcs and humans.
S10
The unit is called 'Cuttle Fish', not 'Cuttlefish'. 24,33
Why do I have income and starting gold?

Re: Forgotten Conflicts: Single-Scenario Campaign Set (Version 0.7.3)
It can be presumed that Relana faced opposition after Baldras left. Here's a snippet from the Epilogue proving my point:
"... a grimy note nailed to a charred post that read, “Baldras, You would have been proud. We gave ’em hell. But in the end, it wasn’t enough. We fled like criminals in the night, but we made sure that no one would harass us anymore.“"
I don't know how to get rid of the income and start gold.
Also, fixed the Cuttle Fish issue.

Re: Forgotten Conflicts: Single-Scenario Campaign Set (Version 0.7.3)
This is a bug in the FC version, the DoE_Shadows have regular ABILITY_NIGHTSTALK, and the #define in utils/abilities.cfg doesn't override the mainline version of that macro. In the DoE version they have DOE_ABILITY_NIGHTSTALK, which is inactive when in a lighthouse's vision range.
Thanks for the other feedback about DoE, I intend to make a new version based on your and EarthCake's feedback, but I don't know when I'll release the next version.
