Streaming?
Are there people who stream Wesnoth, single player or multiplayer? Could there ever be interest in this? Just curious.
Re: Streaming?
I once saw someone streaming mp game.
Re: Streaming?
There are a couple of russian streamers of tournaments/casual mp games/single campaings. Also i have found https://www.youtube.com/user/SkyVioletShadow/featured this guy recently, he makes videos with replays of ladder-games but wo any comments. That's all what i know

Re: Streaming?
Would there be any interest in an English stream of SP campaign? I have some time on my hands so maybe I could do a few hours a week, or maybe more...and we could do campaign challenges like HTTT all Shamans.... But if nobody watches then I would rather spend my time doing something else

Re: Streaming?
I suspect that's the issue.
Wesnoth is kind of like Chess in that it's only really a spectators game for those who already know it well. On the other hand, it takes a long time to complete a campaign, so do I really want to spend my time watching someone else beat a campaign I've already beaten for 10 hours? Probably not.

Re: Streaming?
maybe it's better not to stream sp but makes videos for YouTube. And playing not mainline campaings but addons.
Re: Streaming?
Good player commenting quality mp games with a nice voice and no drama could be interesting. If you take time and comment single player REPLAYS, this will result in much denser and more interesting content than any other way to showcase singleplayer play. Otherwise you end with hours upon hours of gameplay only to make in halfway through a campaign. Even relatively popular youtubers do not manage to make ppl watch uncondensed Wesnoth singleplayer gameplay for a long time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iw8ZAWKmycI So unless you are John Green talking while playing or Velensk doing a commented creators playthrough (which I personally would watch) choose a condensed presentation (from replay). Do not use HttT.

Re: Streaming?
I am not a multiplayer player, but commenting single player replays might be interesting. IDK if I'll be any good at it but I might give it some practice and see how it goes.
Re: Streaming?
I'm gonna stream a little tonight if anyone is interested. I'll be starting in ~30 minutes (8:30 Eastern Standard Time) at http://www.twitch.tv/bproberts . Probably go ~1.5 hours.
Haven't played in awhile, so I'll probably do AI skirmishes to get my feet wet, though if anyone wants to setup a game drop me a message.
Update: I streamed a couple nights last week and had a pretty good time with it. Looking at my work schedule, I think I'm going to try and get some regular streaming going. This week I'm shooting for 7-9 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
