Which is better gold, or XP in Anduin?
I'm playing through on medium difficulty and I've completed Anduin twice-- once with 300 gold and once with 400. The game where I got more money, I got less xp and finished the scenario with one fewer units (a newly minted knight).
The extra 100 gold buys 5 characters, and the knight isn't worth 5 new chars, so I figure I'll play on from the game where I got 400 gold. If anybody has any insight into whether I've made a foolish decision, I'd appreciate hearing it.
Thanks.

Time will tell. 300 gold should be plenty for getting through bay of pearls, but you'll need 2 castles worth saved up for the siege of elensefar.
Hope springs eternal.

It's difficult. If you control most cities on Anduin, your income is also very high.
I would go for the gold. The reason being that I find BoP easy if you only go for killing the sea orch, but harder if you want to kill the land orch. ... which I want to, because I don't think there's anything to come after on Isle of the Damned. (others disagree).
On Muffs peninsular, you'll easily get your XP and money to beat SoE. But you have to be strong at land in BoP to do that, so optimize money on Anduin.
