Had to change that at 4 different spots inside the code. Well the Two-Handed Weapons had the same problem.

By the way, the option to pour a water bottle to heal burning does not appear. I am supposing it should appear in Consumables for the main char and Use Item for other units? Oh and Pango does not heal Burning either, even though it still states the only two negative stats it doesn't heal is wound and venom.
Also, burning doesn't yet have a symbol appearing, but that I am supposing it will be added eventually later.

A different question: Why I don't I get the option to increase speed anywhere? This has been happening for quite a few levels, actually, but only noticed now. Neither on level ups nor in the potion store do I get the speed increase option. Is this planned?

Yes, on higher difficulties than easy you can not increase your speed that way. It is to compensate insane speed builds.
Maybe I will replace it, as it takes away players freedom.
You have an older version of the helpmenu, so these options wont show. The burning doesn't have a symbol, but your character literally burns (surrounded by flames). So - only way to heal it in your version would be to go on a water tile or wait for it to go away. Pango can not cure burning either, it doesn't make sense that eating a fruit would heal from "burning". That is a problem of constant updates. I so far find no way to erase the helpmenu and set it again, as the helpmenu is saved inside your save games (why ever).

The burning actually eventually goes away after a few turns, but it is an increase in difficulty to deal with, as there's no consumable way to extinguish it.

Another question: In which spot can we fish cave fish? I am only missing those, although one of them I was able to find and buy at the fish market.
Also, in RPG mode, without following John's story is it at all possible to get the Souleater?

Currently working on an update that will hopefully allow to rebuild the help menu in saved games. I probably will have to delete all menu items before adding them again. It should actually work to just update them as the code says and I'm not quite sure how saved games will react on this. As soon as I know more I will share this information.
Souleater as a weapon is just a rare drop. Usually Titans unit are allowed to drop them.
Cave fish can be fished in a cave.

Found another problem in the museum.
The firemace display code line shows:
{MUSEUMDELIVERY2 Firemace overlay/weapons/Firemace.png 18 11} when it should be 16 14, 18 11 is the scimitar. And the scimitar is 18 15 when it should be 18 11.

Also, I've tried out taking a contract from the bountyhunters, just to test. I chose the human leader, due to proximity. It does not allow me to attack the King's Marshall, however. Can I only kill him with spells?

You have to mess with the faction reputation, than you can attack him. Other than that, spells.

On the random dungeons given from treasure maps, labelled Hideout, after turn 5 or so, all the units from the green and blue sides disappear, leaving only the boss. I always use a clairvoyance spell from a vision helmet, I don't know if that affects it.

Usually I hate to make updates like this one. But not this time. I've managed to repair the help menu feature. Help menus will now update in saved games, so new features given in the help-menu, will now show, once you visit the doc and select Repair Heromenu. It doesn't matter that the help-menu is saved inside the saved game files. I did so by completely clearing all menu features and set them again. It also might be, that the help-menu wasn't proper nested - this is fixed now. However - now you have a full saved compatibility and can get the new features such as building new kinds of furniture in the tavern, build buildings on the world map.
