Cliff from Mesilliac

Post by battlestar »

Looking for possibly deprecated macro {PATH}, anyone know where the code is? Trying to incorporate mesilliac's cliff terrains: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php ... 2&start=78

It's defined in that code itsself. Just make sure to include the files in the right order.

Thanks, and something is off about the path to the images: two of the icons would show up in the editor but would add invisible terrain. I put the images in <campaign directory>\images\terrain\cliffs

Could anyone help? I looked through these codes several times and don't understand what's wrong with the path directory. I've attached my folders layout and associated files below. It only contains terrain related stuff.

Well, what's the problem?
I put it in my add-on folder and it worked fine. One thing I noticed was that if you colour one hex nothing happens but if you do several hexes in a row it works. :D I tried playing a game with it but it said illegal character in map but that happens in all the custom terrains. To use it check this post http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=30571.

Strange... Nothing happens for me with several hexes in a row... nothing happens for me after painting the whole map with it. I'm using 1.9.7 version.

It would be a good idea to contact Eleazar, the Terrain Art Director

1.9 switched to requiring the .png extension for file names within the terrain image tag. I've made the required changes for 1.9 (it will not work in 1.8 or earlier now).
I also switched the editor group to the custom one you defined to match best practices for add-on terrain.

Thanks, it works perfectly. Once I have the time I'll be sure to read your guide on the terrains, it looks great.
