for a successful gladiators map you must make it so that the heroes are able to put the keeper under somepressure, so that he is forced to levae his starting position and also to cover his retreat by throwing some units against the players early on.

the basic map already does this, but its still difficult for the heroes, since they really have to know what they do.

the map i have in mind will be a bit more intuitive for the players, also some diversion and smehow different gameplay (and perhaps new terrain and effects are also always nice)

Hi gladiator fans and map-designers!

I played some games on gladiator s advanced really liked it. Not a Balanced game but quite complex and interesting.
I always use map settings on. I tried default era and colosseum era. Well mostly with default era.
In colosseum era there are some overpowered units. With some fast lvl1 units the game-play is much more different.

Anyway the most important thing which is not in the game are hot keys:
Buy wild
Buy controlled
Set location, creep type

It Takes a lot of time to buy creatures on the Altars. I mean when you are playing wesnoth you are recruiting with Ctrl+R. Much more faster.

In gladiators advanced I found the fact that the game is really easy with +8 income as owner. So nowadays If I am the owner i play the game with -1 or -2gold income. And if the gladiators do not make the good moves owner will have an easy victory.

im always open for suggestions/ideas

i also always wanted to add at least a 2nd map to gladiators adv.

if you want to make a glad map for example, feel free to start it, i may work it out and add it to the pack.

I remember that game gladiators and gladiators advanced
it was awesome unfortunately a lot of good mods is destroyed because the new versions of wesnoth

I miss this add-on

The next Version of SXRPG will also contain Gladiators_advanced
it is quite aged though.

maps looks pretty bland etc
