interface related improvment

interface related improvment

i tryed to play the game on 2 screens and i really like the way i could stretch the window and see much more tiles.
the thing is that the popup windows are alwyes stuck in the middle of the window, and in 2 screens it's pretty annoying to read.

i suggest to add support to dragins those little messeges around the window (and saving thier last position).

and a more managable intarface can be really nice (draging the info bar to the diffrent edges of the screen.


i can see myself that these are things that are pretty hard to do with realetivly minor effect, but just wanted to mantion in case u search for something to do XD

In Wesnoth 1.6 the messages will appear at the bottom and it would look silly to move them.

If you really want it to have that on the other side you could write your own theme which does that. But the theme-WML is really ugly, IIRC there are few developers which fully understand it. I guess it would still be much easier to write another theme, than making the theme-WML interactive.

Well, since the game is interface is designed with one screen in mind, I cannot imagine why you would have trouble on two... As Lizard pointed out, 1.6 will display windows a bit differently (as 1.5.9 currently does).

You are more than welcome to configure a theme that will support the game being displayed on two screens in the manner you wish, but this is not something the developers will do in all that free time they have. You seem to underestimate the amount of work they do on this project, on top of their real life obligations.
