Attachment images get automatically shrunk if they're over a certain size. It's quite useful for large images like screenshots.

FWIW I thought the original shoulderpad was fine, and in fact looks better than the upgraded one. But then explaining why would just be nitpicking. He looks great either way.

I like Mr. Mix, but I just have one question - what is that little black lump in the middle of his shoulder, uh, armor thingies?

Here, I circled it so you can tell what I'm talking about:

Absolutely fantastic!
I like the ambiguity of the upwards branches - are they his counterparts to arms, or rather his hairdo?
He also has the sad, melancholic look one would suspect from a being reproducing vegetatively (autogeny, anyone?)

Looks good! Like Gauteamus said, the arms/branches are ambiguous. It doesn't just look like a wooden human statue.

One minor thing: Is his right "shoulder" a bit metallic? (It's not a big deal, but I mention it because this is Art Workshop.)

I absolutely love this one! There is no comparison to what we had for woses from the time of TROW!

I think we should make this the generic wose portrait instead of one specific for a campaign...

yeah, I love the limb/hair ambiguity

what troubles me is the "venitian bird mask" look of the face... he really looks like he's wearing a mask... could you try to somehow "attach" the upper half of the face to the lower half, and see how it works ?

That was intentional and it's part of the charm I think.

Thank you all for your kind replies! :D here is he at the final size. now there are only two more portraits for wesmere missing - one snobbish elf and wether asheviere, aquagar (a drake mage) or a necromancer. i currently tend to do the necromancer... (santi, what was his name?)

@ doofus: i don't get a metallic impression at all - which shoulder do you mean? "right" from his or our pov?

@ torangan: thank you! but i promised this as a individual portrait for santi's campaign... but you may be sure that i'll do a generic wose portrait in the same style soon!

@ boucman: of course i could try to attach the "mask" more :P - but i really like how it looks. i'll only do it if more people will complain about it.

I really like the "mask" look. In fact, I really like the whole portrait. :D

Same here, especially with the mask look.
