Easy Way to Chat

Post by Dave »

We've had an IRC channel at #wesnoth on irc.freenode.net for some time now. However, we can appreciate that for users unfamiliar with IRC, installing an using an IRC client may not be easy.

Thus we've set up an easy to use chat applet: http://www.wesnoth.org/chat/NormalApplet.html (requires Java) that allows you to join us on IRC and chat about Wesnoth much more easily.

Thanks to Li'sar for setting up the applet, and ettin for integrating it into the website.

Nice. I don't suppose this could be added as a link at the top of the webpage? Perhaps between "Forum" and "About"? It could be labelled - wait for it - "Chat".

If you tell us what platform ("operating system") you are running we might be able to come up with some suggestions.

Permission to put this in the wiki?

Code: Select all

<!-- SiteSearch Google -->
<FORM method=GET action="http://www.google.com/search">
<TABLE bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><tr><td>
<A HREF="http://www.google.com/">
<IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/logos/Logo_40wht.gif"
border="0" ALT="Google"></A>
</td>
<td>
<INPUT TYPE=text name=q size=31 maxlength=255 value="">
<INPUT type=submit name=btnG VALUE="Google Search">
<font size=-1>
<input type=hidden name=domains value="http://wesnoth.slack.it/"><br><input type=radio name=sitesearch value=""> WWW <input type=radio name=sitesearch value="http://wesnoth.slack.it/" checked> http://wesnoth.slack.it/ <br>
</font>
</td></tr></TABLE>
</FORM>
<!-- SiteSearch Google -->
Got it from http://www.google.com/searchcode.html . If I added it (to the homepage), you would be able to search the wiki from inside of it.
