Statistics

Post by Dovolente »

I'm a stats fan, and would like to propose a few ideas for
changes or additions to the statistics.

1) The separate lines for EV can be confusing at first, and
may be easier to read in general if put as a percentage
after the actual stat. Like this:

Damage Inflicted 260 (75% EV)
Damage Received 274 (103% EV)

The comparison of actual and EV is what I think most
people are interested in--this would make the comparison
immediately clear.

2) A few other stats would be interesting to have
Gold Earned
HP Healed
Average Defense - Self
Average Defense - Opponents

3) An end-of-game statistics summary that would display after the
"You are defeated!/You are victorious!" message. We wouldn't need
a fancy chronological breakdown (thought that'd be awesome).
Something like the basic statistics, but with a column of numbers
for each player, would be very informative and helpful.

This sounds pretty good. It'd indeed IMO be a bit better if you'd see the difference between the actual value and EV in percents.

Agreed.

Nearly everyone would like to see something like that. What is needed is someone to code it.
Feel free to PM me if you start a new terrain oriented thread. It's easy for me to miss them among all the other art threads.

I also agree this would be neat. In addition, within this post-game stats dialogue box you could you could even display the name and pic of the "MVP" unit...the unit with the most kills or Damage Inflicted or whatever.

Of course, this would be a lot of work for no real practical gain. :)

IMO, a good start would be to just include a button to access the standard stats (units lost etc.) in the end of scenario dialog.
