I currently only have one finished death done (where she bursts all her power out and then dies) but I am also working on: Her wings blow away (using wind efect and dissolve), her green clothes "rotting" to brown as she falls etc.

Actually, I'm pretty uncertain where to go from here. I could really use some ideas, advice.
Don't do these:
• her green clothes "rotting" to brown as she falls
• she bursts all her power out and then dies

Especially not the latter, as it looks really cheesy. I'm not opposed to some diplay of magic, but it would need to be much more subtle, and the effect would need to be much more complex.

What I'd focus on is getting the wings to dissolve correctly.

I should also mention, and I'm sorry for not mentioning this earlier, that she has two winglets beneath her big wings - not unlike a butterfly would have. These are a lot smaller, but are present in some of the other animations, and you would be able to see them here.

Thanks for the advice. I thought it looked abit cheesy myself, that's why I posted it. O.K. on with the wings as originally planned.

This animation isn't ideal, but IMHO it's a improvement over the last one. I have the zip, I wasn't sure about what the dragoon would wear on his arm, the sprite hints at bare skin but I don't like it like that....

edit: The crossbow looks better then that, thanks to transparency but thanks to .gif's.... I can happily change the arm. I think it should be a quite long animation as he only has 1 chance at it.

(Frames at what speed: First one 150ms, Second one 230ms, Third 200ms, Fourth 350ms, then the first one again... so 1st -1020 till 780 2nd -780 till 550 3rd -550 till 350 4th -350 till 0 1st 0 - 150)

Put some armor on that arm, and I think we have a new ranged animation.

If you could do something similar for the cavalier, that'd also be dandy

Sorry to butt in, but why is he drawing the crossbow back with his hand? No crossbows I've ever heard of fire that way (and I would think that would just make it an awkward, low power normal bow). Just looks a little strange and awkward, in my opinion. Not to necessarily criticize the animation itself, of course

I can change that if you wish, I could even make it so it'd recycle frames, like this one does, probably only make it have 3 frames.

is not finished - it is got some serious issues with it, unfortunately. The attack would need to move heavily to the side, whereas here, he's attacking about 10° away from south. Any such blade attack needs to move in a wide arc spanning both sw and nw (or se and ne) - the point it it needs to be straight to the side, not heavily to the south, like this is.

It could be salvaged as a south melee attack (in fact, that's a very good avenue to take), but it is not suitable for an attack to the west/east.

You win some, you lose some. You nailed all those other animations perfectly, and I'm sure we can iron this guy out, too.
When I was doing it I was thinking of se direction (probably a mistake to begin with, becuase I just increased the amount of work needed when I did), which I then skewed to the south too much, most of the moevement that I did was assumeing the game movement would cover part of it, and intuitive guess work, I should probably go about doing these differently, so that I can get a clear idea of what shifts are needed.

although looking at in on screen (I haven't tired it in game yet, becuase I'm not entirely sure about animation WML yet, but I'll be looking into it soon anyway), It could be used as a s, se one, If more of a right shift is put on it (although that would probably also look odd because he would walk right to attack south), but I can see what you mean (I'm surprised that I didn't see it myself)

oh, and here is the latest version (with frames attached seperately, I have a bunch of .xcfs with all of the different parts on different layers too if you plan on doing any editing that this would make easier)

EDIT: and a few of the frames from the older version (before I added the step back) could come in handy, as they are more east orientate (I changed them a bit to the south, without realiseing too much, when I added the step back)

Done, plus with a wind-up bow now. Sure I can do this for the Cavalier, but it'll cost you   I don't mind doing all the frames for both the Dragoon and Cavalier. You can get the frame lengths from the animation, I'm being over taken by on-controllable lazyness, plus I've been at home for a hour and a half, and I've been doing that for like half a hour.

Does he move up a little in the last frame? Was this intended?

I suggest that you check list for what is needed at the time. That list might outdated for a couple of moments once in a while. And also keep an eye to other threads that have TCing going on.

Because, I'm sorry to say, I have already done the draug images and they have been committed. :(

Hmmm... I saw that list... When I did them, the Draug was still on the list of things that needed doing.

 I'm sorry guys.

I'm only human, and I can't be on these forums 24/7.

The best I can suggest is to keep an eye on the other TC threads in the Art Contributions forum.

AND... I'm going to make a new thread for people to post those frames at in the art contributions forum. I ask that you guys post such images only in this thread - this way, you can keep an eye on what is done with relative ease.
