81 pixels, eh?

He needs more contrast, and his stance is rather odd. Try shifting one of his legs under his body weight.

Looking good, the colours are fantastic. But the mail still looks flat, there's something for you to work on :D (i need to work on it myself actually.)
Legs are a bit too thin and his waist needs to be heightened a little. His feet also need to be bigger.
My spritework can be seen here.

Temporary break in my spiriting splurge. Fixed up the giant a bit, though I know there's still something wrong with his stance. However, I haven't been idle recently, and have cranked out a couple scenery pieces/items.

And the rest of them. I've got to change the name of this thread or open a new one to accommodate the scenery and items....

The potion looks very flat, compared to the other mainline potion images. The board thing is so small, I'm not sure what its use would be.
But good job on all these- I especially like the pedestal, but I'm not sure why. :)

Gravestone (the cross) looks very bright, like made out of silver.

It's also a specifically Christian gravestone.

The mushrooms are rather bright, they need more shading - try looking at the already-done art of the Mushroom Grove.
The barrel is excellent.
The gravestone is pretty bright for being made out of stone - I would suggest more shading.
The board is good I guess, but I can't imagine what one would use that sprite for.
The bag is HUGE. It's more like a troll's sack.
The "tree" is rather more like a "bush"
That torch isn't very tall...
The pedestal is nice.
The potion is okay, but you should avoid straight lines for the neck.
The map is nice.

Not necessarily. The military uses crosses for its graves (Arlington national cemetary, for instance).

The United States military is not a very good example of a non-Christian organization. While a cross can be regarded as a generic symbol for marking a grave, the usual round-topped, flat stone is even better, and doesn't have vaguely religious connotations of any kind.

Also, I'd like to disagree with the person who said the bag is too large--all item sprites are oversized, and I think it looks pretty nice.

I'd like to disagree about the cross. Wesnoth is set in a distinctly medieval time period, and christianity was the dominant religion in the medieval times in such lands as France, Britain, and Spain. Consequently a cross would be far more common in a graveyard than a 'usual' gravestone. However, the shading could definitely do with some work.

Well, I seriously doubt this will reach mainline, so UMC authors please feel free to use the gravestone. Here is a little something I conjured up:
