btw Temuchin Khan I'd recommend you to take a time to view the Ageless version of imperial era units as many things are different from the original project because certain things were too abusable in XP mod / orocia shrine upgrade (like Legionaries shield + pilum attacks with extra strikes, particularly if BOTH attacks have SLOWS special and with extra strikes unit is most likely to use this attack always in retaliation) , which was pretty overpowered that pilum dealt as much damage as a lv1 archer strike...) , as well some lv3 late game Sidhe got flat defense of 50% because it was required to make them to not underperfom this much to even default (as well of a important XP reductions to some units).

Lastly, in 2024 we got more resources to nerf stuff like pilum attack being too powerful... for example the attack could be changed to 6-1 and be still a +slowing attack if for example it has a cons of -10% accuracy modifier, which would make it a GREAT attack if fighting on flat, but being terrible if something at very high defense uses a ranged attack againist legionaries. This would also fix lv2 legionaries to not be absurdly too OP in flat terrain which is most common terrain tile in the game , and finally allowing them to have either less cold weakness (which it was massive in Laviginian legionaries) OR at having more HP in lv2-lv3 and to not be massively OP in flat.

I still remember very old times which altering flat defense was something very uncommon and still a powerful feature that been used to buff some Ageless units that without this bonus, they would not have any unique feature and still low stats.

As well as the accuracy/parry stat exists, which can be used to buff/nerf things in convenience. In 1.18 elvish champion only gains +1 strike (to 8-5) in comparation of lv2 hero but gains +10% accuracy on their melee attacks , meaning they miss less often while taking a while to deal their full damage.

Commenting that the first confirmed wave of changes been officially added, which will occur in the next release, still there are some points I would like to listen an opionion about certain things.

But in short in case you don't want to view each exact detail of all changes, can mention a short list of changes in each faction.

AE - Dark Legion / Stronger riders (lv2/lv3) , minor buffs in some other places.
AE - Deep Elves / HP increases and XP reductions (both buffs)
AE - Frozen / Minor buffs
AE - Steelhive / Recon rework , minor buffs in very secondary units
AE - Yokai / Healing Leshis HP increase, higher XP for lv1 swarms

Archaic - Despair / Minor damage buffs , very moderate XP reductions
Archaic - Kthon / Ranged units rework (toads/ducks) , they will now be debuffers (-5% physical res and cold/fire if duck or toad)
Archaic - Menagenerie / Arcane performance big buff, some XP decreases, more extras
Archaic - Phantom / Archers fewe XP and stronger secondary ranged damage, minor buffs in somewhere
Archaic - Primeval / Minor XP adjustment (both increases and decreases) , few buffs
Archaic - South Seas / some HP increases and XP decreases (buffs)
Archaic - Ukians / XP reductions around multiple units, lv2/lv3 no commander fighters buffs , lv3/lv4 commander nerfs

BEEM - Wood Warriors / A pair of XP redutions

EFM - Dalefolk / Buffs around all non Channeler lines
EFM - Darklanders / XP reductions at most
EFM - Freemen / XP decreases, fix inconsistencies in lv2 to lv3 upgrades, kept the crazy but fun things in adventurer : )
EFM - Highlanders / Lv1/Lv2 decreases, standarized AMLA XPs
EFM - Imperlists / Lv1/Lv2 decreases, standarized AMLA XPs
EFM - Pygmies / Buffs split around non-witches lines
EFM - Sea States / Lv1/Lv2 decreases, standarized AMLA XPs at most
EFM - Whites / XP decreases , Scout & Warden line buffs in lv+2 , AMLA XP standarize

Will 4.34 or later be released on the 1.16 server?

Here "no" is the easier answer for me - I'm wondering whether I'll need to do further uploads of SXC to 1.16. I have to do one last one anyway, having missed the deprecation, and in 4.31 removal, of AE_myh_Mistress.

Just posting that all ballance band-aid fixes been done, but related to new content is still pending... as I'm advising this because it's posssible that there is an Ageless update, so if this is the case THEN this would mean it would be just a EOMA quick update and another balance reviews.

Will start working in new release during this monday or later, expecting to make it ready for August 1-15th.

Most important to mention that is planned:
- Add 10 new factions (EE - Drakes , EOC- summoners and 8 or 9 others)
- Lil rework on Despair, I don't like the status of some units
a) For example the 25% ressistances in lv2 spearman will be split in 20/30% instead.
b) Lv3 Officer will have higher stats, but leadership will get nerfed to Rally, so it can be more consistent to previous level and be a better melee fighter. This will lead Despair to have better late/end-game once all units are maxed.
c) Will probably remove Skismirher in Lord Knight, but higher damages... , it will keep the terrain differences in comparation of Officer, while also being a more offensive path.

- Add icons on missing attacks (roswellians, Sverd Skjold, few other cases
- Add icon for Arillery Range & Insects damage type
- Implement Orc Minuti & Laviginan Legion adjustments
- Minor BEEM review (again)
- Attempt NEW promised units in Kthon, Meganerie, Free Saurians, few other things
- Having a finished (even if very limited) version of AE- Greatwars...
- More minor (or not so minor... depending the case) EOMA adjustments for fairness.

Been working some bit in Ageless Era, all new factions from... AoA (Armies of Ambrerian) been reworked and adapted to my criteria in Ageless, soon in 4.36 it will get released, as well of other balance changes.

I'm not absolutely sure if I will add more units to some existant factions in this release, but guess it's still a possibility, but not 100% confirmable.


This is the actual balance-changelog , as well a small leak of each AoA faction that will be added to Ageless in this next release.

Additionally, there will be high changes that I add few more factions to Ageless in our next release, factions that are mentioned are these:
- EOC - Summoners , after being removed long ago, they will get re-added again (hopefully this release)
- EE - Drakes , an EE version of drakes which features more units and etc.
- Under Burning Sun's Quenoth Elves, I still have to view about what some auras do before viewing if they need buff or not.


As well other planned thing on this release is to add images to Insects damage type as well of Aritllery range.


More balance changes are coming appart of the mentioned, but these are absolutely official and coming to our next release.

Getting you updated by a little.

I think that in this upd there will be no new units for following factions:
1) EA - Desert elves
2) ARCHAIC - Menagerie (will also add a lv4 version of blue beast due delays)
3) ARCHAIC - Khtons
Few other units in some other factions...

Reasons: there was the need to request more attention and time at polishing AoA content (clearing it of minor bugs I commited) , as well of making AoA mountain goblins be more playable with extra attcks/recruit units/leader lists because the faction was very poor in lv2+ gameplay.

For example, mountain goblins to be viable I've decided to add them the following extras:
1) Troll Whelp been changed to EE - Troll Whelp (which can level up into Troll shaman lv2)
2) Added Sidhe Elf bears, this is actually a good idea because in the same era a dwarf faction has bear riders
3) Added EE Monster's Gryphon's, which can go even to lv3 unlike Knalgan Gryphon Riders
4) Added Archaic's Stork riders (are an hybrid between wolf riders & naga fighters, but can't lv3)
5) Added an extra Sling attack in the lv1/lv2 goblin assassins (Lv1 5-2 and lv2 6-3 +50% marksman) as faction is still missing of decent ranged attackers.

I've been really interested to steal the sprites of lv1-lv3 halfling in barrel armor for a goblin unit (nobody can realize what is inside the armor XD) , but I haven't found the sprites yet... but as soon as I find it (if before the release) then mountain goblins would have an armored lv1-lv3 goblin on spear (who knows if with steadfast or only superior physical/arcane/cold ressists).

As well, there will be another delay in AE Great Wars getting updated.


Did also made some ajustments to some few units in specific... what will make the game feel more fair.

Did some changes to planned things for 4.36 , sadly, UtbS Quenoth Elves will not get added this next release, still almost all pending units from really long will be added to certain factions.

Note: Arhcaic - Phamtom will have AE own version of slaves or adivinators, or whatever,will see how to suit them correctly in the era (not in this release, but later).

So including everything, the defenetive balance changelog for 4.35 to 4.36. Note this is long, reason why I added it inside a spoiler.

Btw, I got a new goal for 4.37 somewhere in october or early november, some of them will be listed at here:

- Fix some little inconsistencies/wrong values at certain things.
- Viewing a method to make certain factions more fun (Example: Frozen Human, Dark Legion) as they feel so meh in comparation of others.
- Working in AE-Balanced and AE-Great Wars
- Various other things.

This post is mainly done to advise that there will be another wave of EOMA adjustments in Ageless.

The main focus in here will be the following:
1) Nerf very powerful attacks such as the 45-1 magical lightning from lv4 master of elements, by just a bit (that attack is an extra, unit doesn't entirely need that attack at all... but it still has it...).
2) Minor EXP nerfs to specific lv2-lv3 units , meaning it might require more XP to have specific units.
3) Price increases on lv3 for WC II fariness, as in EOMA lv3-lv4 units are underpriced because EOMA is full of high accuracy slowers in almost all factions so such units cannot be correctly priced to Ageless/Default standards.



Aditionally, will add a list of all oficially published balance changes that will be on this 4.37 release.

Lastly, EOTF brungars will get a new unit, an advancement for lv2 stingray giving a lot of HP and only 1 movement and very minor increase of damages to make it still viable in late/endgame gameplay.

Very low chances that few more units gets changed/rebalanced (excluding EOMA) , but still possible.
