Aaaand two more scenarios are out, together with several minor fixes/improvements on previous scenarios here and there! Opinions on S9 are especially welcome since it's somewhat experimental.

Inside the Ruins
let's move forward -> Let's move forward
aren't but a moving pile of rocks -> are but a moving pile of rocks.
loyalt -> loyalty

It would be nice if any unit stepping on the tablet (28,25) triggered a reaction, something saying that someone should take a look. Same for the vase on 9,16. Or make finding them an achievement.

The Forbidden Library
reruit -> recall

:lol: :lol: quantum skeleton... that's amusing enough to be considered a feature, not a bug. Maybe I can have it comment something about the situation, if that happens.

It is an achievement, actually, although combined with the previous two scenarios (so for you it's a bit inconvenient :whistle: ), but it's true that it might not be obvious who should inspect the items. I'll add some hint if other units step on them.

The Necrophages respawn where they die. Is that intended?
There seems to be an error message when that happens.
Setting up Ghosttraps is exhausting. :D But the scenario is probably not doable without those.

Dangerous Night
khafir -> Khafir (sorry, didn't copy the context down)
payed -> paid

Hmm, I haven´t given too much thought to it. I'll apply a small change.

Yeah, the idea is for that to be a necessity, although I tried different things to make it smoother (give explosive to Qilah, tweak the map..). Maybe I can try to make it a bit easier, the main problem is having the AI collaborate...

Something I forgot: The Cursed Guards revive often with less than 1hp.

Those last couple of scenarios are brilliant. Very creative ideas that again show how Wesnoth can be re-invented forever.

S9 was frightening at first, the dialogue does wonders for building anticipation. The duo of bone-heads are pretty funny. Finally I just stayed at the margins and ran for my life. I also had problems with the perma-ghoul sitting on the orb, until I realized I had to draw him off. I only caught a glimpse of the "storm of spectres", first while circling around, then just before grabbing the orb. I got lucky I guess.

It took me a couple of scenarios to realize how to make explosions and digging work. I didn't realize it was a right-click option. After that I went back to replay some bits, in the hopes uncovering a fabulous treasure :mrgreen: but no such luck. Not even a ring of Deodorant! Bah humbug.

Ah! I suppose it's still possible to sneak in without the spectres catching you. :hmm: not sure if it's a rare occurrence and I'm concerned about making it too hard.

Dang it, I hoped the notes were sufficient to explain it. Maybe I should add some practical application in the first scenario, as also Konrad suggested. It's also a nice idea to add some reward here and there, maybe some flavour dialog by Qilah with more history trivia.

Yes good idea. I probably misread or skipped past the notes (sometimes I click twice by accident). So a practical application would have caught me up earlier.

Also, there are a heck of a lot of places to dig and blow up... maybe a few too many? If you spend your time trying them all out, you'd never finish the level on time. Or gain battle experience for the dwarves. Still, it's a great mechanic. Quite satisfying to rush through a chokepoint, then block it off. Might be interesting in other campaigns? Such as a dwarves vs. trolls, where dwarves can collapse sections... but after a few turns, trolls can break through again.

I seriously loved the final, collapsed-tower level. The whole concept of running around a rickety structure is thrilling. All that's missing is creaking floorboard and wind howling sounds. :D

After a disproportionate Christmas break, two more scenarios are added to the campaign. I'd be happy to hear opinions on the map of S11, in particular the enemies' position and distances, and on the mechanic of S12.

I check the forum only every couple of weeks, what luck to find this posted!

S11 - Moderately easy level, very doable on the first try. But I had to replay it as it wasn't clear to me at the start that one of the objectives was to block enemies from reaching 45,16. It might be good to mention it better? For example, when the scout in the north says "I can see horses in the south, Darras might be coming back", he could add, "We'd better secure Red Peak camp for their arrival". The camp could be labeled on the map. And right after the scout speaks you could update objectives with this 'new' objective? No confusion then.

S12 - This was a tough level. No Qilah at the start. I had to get him by recall. I managed to win, but not even close to the turn limit. It could use 5 or 10 turns more.

Seriously, where do you get these ideas?? S12 was so much fun. My guess, we won't get to recall the beasts in the future right? Kind of sad really. Hahahaha 😁

S11 ... It might be good...
nice idea, I added a line of text and the label!

Ouch, that's a bug, I think I fixed it now. Dialog might have felt a bit awkward without him :oops:
I also added 10 turns, in case it was frustrating for the time limit. I'm glad you enjoyed S12, I wasn't sure how it would have felt :D And no, I'm afraid those beasts won't ever be freed into the real world :whistle:

The campaign has been updated with two more scenarios + one cut scene. S15 is again a bit experimental, so I'm happy to hear opinions on that.

A small update is out, this time with a new cut scene and another playable scenario. Those who played 'desert traders' will recognize the mechanics, with minor modifications. All comments/bug reports are very welcome!

Rocky Plains
fra -> far
reveall -> reveal
Good...night -> Good...night.

The Call of the Sands
The counter for the achievement isn't displayed correctly (it was at 0/4 until I recruited at the 4th keep)

Some of the scenarios (from Rocky Plains onwards) lack the capitalization of names in the lose condition.

After 'The Call of the Sands' comes the 'temporary ending' scenario before it continues with 'Kirar valley'.

Why did you change the tc of Darras to red in Kirar valley? He was brown previously.

Kirar Valley
venture this far -> venture this far.

(Maj'lad appears here, but never again in later scenarios)

A Fragile Deal
Majlad is not on the map for some reason, that leads to some serious gaps in the conversation.
Also, instead of actually Khafir being recalled, it's just some generic Dune Explorer saying his lines. (Note that I had paused my playthrough in december.)

Any suggestions on how to win 'Peacekeeping'? I can't seem to avoid killing units in retaliation or as a last resort (especially the skirmishers). I lose around turn 8.
(My solution was to smother the tribe leader and bodyblock all the settlers.)

(I don't remember if I mentioned it in a previous post, but Mar'e'i demands upkeep.)

The Eastern Route
It honestly bothers me that my team is now neither teal nor yellow.

(Still no Maj'lad) (and not recalls from Khafir)

The win condition '2 caravans from each route' doesn't seem to work. (I have 3 from 2 routes, and 2 from one route)
