I think the problem really is that the leather bit is at a funny angle.

Perhaps if you turn it a little bit it might look better.

changed the shirt's linecolour and the mouth (a bit). i'm not so sure about your sword hilt point - see redline.

the eyes have no pupils an purpose  that's what kalenz looks like. with elves i generally fear that they just look like fair haired humans with deformed ears. i think they need something special like (for example) the eyes.
I missed Kalenz not having pupils. Fair enough. I'd wait for an art dev's opinion on that one, but if Kalenz's portrait has none, it might be alright - there's some discrepancy, since other elves in other portraits do have pupils.

For the sword... I'm struggling to describe what i see here. It seems to me that the blade is essentially flat, facing straight on to the camera, while the hilt seems to tilt slightly towards the camera on our left, and slightly away on the other side.

May just be me, though *shrug*. I'll drop it, it's only a minor niggle, and detracts nothing from the image itself. This is great work =) keep it coming :D

Jetryl is the Art Director. His opinion is final on art-related decisions.

I have to say, i'm not sure the breastplate adds anything - iu preferred the lighter-armoured look.

Eyes are very slightly unfocused.

Image

Looking good so far! I like his body armor. Bandanna seems loose.

Yep I like the style too. Looks rather good. The eyes need some tweaking though like Kestenvarn said.

My compliments. The eye thing gives them a somewhat outworldly feel that fits.

The sword looks rather human. I think his sword should look somwhat like a mix between a japanese katana, a chinese dao, nd a frech rapier. That's how I'd describe elvish swords.

Much better job on the critques.

The pic is coming along nicely, though I liked it with the darker green from the first image. This is just a personal taste, so don't value it too highly.

I vote no pupils.

This is coming along quite well, by the way.

I still root for the Dha. It looks exotic simple, light enough for furious 4 attacks per turn with a shield, and dangerous enough to chop muscle.
