Bug: "Selection to Area" saving on big maps
Confirmed in 1.16 and 1.18: I have a big map (200x200), and am trying to divide it in 3 time areas.
After selecting those areas and clicking on "save to (respective) area", I check them by toggling through those areas to see if the editor got it all right.
Everything looks peachy, so I save the scenario, quit the game, restart it, reload the editor and the saved scenario file.
Surprise, while the 3rd area is still correct, the first two have changed to "everything selected"...
Tried this several times, on Linux (1.16) and on Windows (1.18), each time with the same result, the first two areas always turn to "all selected", just the third is correct.
Since this doesn't happen in smaller maps, I guess it might have something to do with the sheer size of the map (200x200 as I said) and the areas (about one third of the map each). Some variable choking during save?
Here is what the faulty scenario file's time areas look like after being saved:
The last area selection is as saved (easiest one too, pretty much a rectangular block of the last third of the map), the first two are nonsense.
For the record, it also happens if I just try to save the first area, the other two being empty. Unlike the third, the first and second areas are pretty complicated, following terrain and all. The third area is just a big edge-to-edge rectangle, which is probably why the editor manages to save it all right.
---- Edited to add:
Amount of area data issue confirmed. Instead of 3 areas, I divided the map in 4 areas, each one a little smaller, and lo and behold, this time the editor saves those areas all right.
(If somebody looks into this, could you please, pretty pretty please, also remove the compulsory scroll each time you toggle an area? The intention is good, of those hell is paved with, because inevitably scrolling at 4 pixels/minute each time and not wanting to stop it till scrolling is done is a major pain in the neck, and serves no purpose except preventing you from comparing transitions (is this hex here or there?)...
