Steam Version 1.19.25 Fails to Launch on Windows 11: Missing DLL Files

Hello,

I would like to report an issue with the Steam version of Wesnoth for my setup: Windows 11,Wesnoth:1.19.25

The Steam version of Wesnoth 1.19.24 was launching and running correctly on June 23, 2026. It appears that an update (1.19.25) was released on June 24, and since then the game no longer starts when launched through Steam or the Wesnoth.exe

When attempting to start the game, Windows reports that the following DLL files are missing:

libboost_iostreams.dll
libboost_locale.dll
libboost_charconv.dll
libboost_filesystem.dll


As a workaround, I downloaded the installer directly from SourceForge:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/wesnot ... e/download
The version installs and runs correctly

I wanted to make the team aware of this issue and also confirm whether this forum is the correct place to report problems affecting the official Steam release.
