Mouse curses freeses when I use Recall

It must have been at least 15 years, if not 20, since I played this game last, when I was reminded about it the other day. I am looking forward to dive into it again!

I installed Wenoth version 1.19.21 from Steam and running in full-mode on Windows 11 on my Vivobook s14 laptop.

I am playing Tale of Two Brothers, and this problem started in the chapter Guarded Castle. When I right-click or use alt+r to recall, the mouse cursor freezes. It resolves if I use alt-tab to switch out of the game and back again. Very tiresome to do this for every single recall.

Any suggestions?

Correction, it happens only when I use alt+r to recall, and not when I use the mouse. Huh.

Should be generic windows design choice. You need to press alt again.

I don't know if Win11 does anything differently, but I tried to replicate what you described: 1.19.22+dev, Win10, full-screen (really just a borderless window), keyboard Alt+R. I don't observe any issues with mouse cursor.

Thank you Ravana, it's still a bit unclear if I need to press alt or alt+r to losen it again, but it works.

Do you happen to know if there is any way to turn this off? The response time of it getting back is so slow that I end up just using right click. Would love to have the shortcut again though.

Easiest workaround would be setting that hotkey to something without alt.
