Hello,
I am reporting a suspicious incident that occurred during a multiplayer match, which may indicate a bug, mismatch, or possible misuse/cheating.
Game Details:
Wesnoth Version: 1.18
Scenario/Era/Map: AfterLife
Turn Affected: 19
Issue Description: My Ambusher unit (with the Ambush ability active on suitable terrain) did not cause the opponent's first Skirmisher unit to stop when it moved adjacent to my Ambusher. The Skirmisher passed by without being forced to halt, as expected from the Ambush mechanic (enemies cannot move through or end turn adjacent without stopping). The Ambush icon/ability appeared inactive or non-functional at that moment despite the conditions being met.
This is not normal behavior based on standard rules — Ambush should prevent the enemy from ignoring the zone of control in that way. It felt like an exploit or desync/cheat. I have attached the replay file for review. Please watch around turn 19 to see the exact movement and unit positions.
If more information is required, let me know and I'll provide it promptly.

It is a correct replay. Just check the round 19. Skirmisher passing my ambusher.

You may need to download Afterlife Era addon.

There is code in Afterlife Random, which was played here, that uncovers leaders so no ambush happened.

Weird. I have played Afterlife some time now. How its possible that this have not happened to me before nor to anybody i have played with?
And whats the point of preventing ambushing unit ambush...
