wesnoth for ios dropped from app store!!!

i had an issue w/ my phone & had to erase all contents. even though i restored it from a backup, it failed to load my wesnoth app. when i went to the app store, it said that app was no longer available! i'm screwed. anybody have a way to directly upload the game to my phone? i've been playing on my phone for 15 yrs! i love it & am gonna be really bummed w/o it. all new games suck. too many ads, in app purchases, etc. there's nothing else out there like wesnoth. hopefully somebody can help. cheers!

iOS support for Wesnoth has been discontinued for around 4 years now.

yeah i know, sadly, but it was still in the app store until just this month. anybody know a way to download to iphone?

Same, I was playing before there was an official release, it was like some PC emulated version for the IOS. I even remember the official version used to cost money as well before it went free.

I just encountered this problem when upgrading my iPhone. Luckily, I hadn't erased the old phone yet. I was able to follow the instructions in this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Daz1oQoAlHo to sideload Wesnoth from my old phone to my new one. Note: the Sideloadly config is in a different place than in the video in the version I downloaded - just hunt around for gear icons. I'm not sure how useful this will be to anyone else, though, as the exported .IPA file is locked to the AppleID of the device it was taken from. But if you've another iOS device with Wesnoth still running, this should work for you.
