My friend always loses against me how do I help him to be better?

We got the game recently and have been playing together in 1v1s and no matter what factions we choose I always win. I've tried to help him and we have looked at guides for the rebels the faction he has decided to stay using, but every time he tries a new strategy I just beat him. I also can't really tell him why i do what I do as I work on mostly vibes when i play and while I have tried to explain my tactics/strategies I feel like my advice isn't really helpful. I don't want him to quit, but he is too clever for me to pretend to do worse, so I'm asking for help here. Most of the time I play the knalgan Alliance so specific advice towards that matchup would be best.

Also don't give me any advice for myself only him, I don't want to get better since that will just make the problem worse.

You can try giving him some advantage in income and/or gold if your skill level as higher than his as you say. Or, the reverse, giving yourself some handicap in gold and/or income.

I don't know if that is a good advice, but what about playing MP campaigns together?
There are several MP campaigns on the addon-server that you guys can try out.

Point is, you can talk about your tactics and get an understanding how and why the other one took that approach.
