Well, that was interesting. I didn't think there was any reason to have a turn limit on the final scenario, but I guess you proved me wrong! :)

(1) What difficulty level and version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on? Diabolic (Difficult) 1.18.4
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 8
(3) What did you think about the dialog and story? It's pretty much been given up on
(4) What were the major challenges you faced? Hunting down the leaders that sit on their keeps with lots of income. The merfolk leader in particular was rather annoying due to his terrain, defence, and passiveness. Overall strategy is to recall a mix of strong units, and just attack aggressively when on favourable terrain or with time of day, giving up ground and retreating when not favourable.

First I choked the south bridge with a draug, using banebows to snipe the paladins that came over, and cycle more draugs to cover them. More draugs and spectres sat outside the swamps to wipe out the saurians, who are effectively baited into throwing their spears at the draugs. The naga can be dealt with the same way, using banebows or liches to bait them out of the water/swamp. Resist the temptation to go into the swamp, even with spectres.

Next I tried the same strategy to get the merfolk out of the water, but I ended up having to be aggressive to get their leader and lost some units in the process. Meanwhile the other skeletons and liches went south to defeat the passive paladin leader, then play cat-and-mouse with the dwarves until nighttime. The dwarf leader comes over too so it is easy to wipe them out, using ancient liches to take out dwarf lords. The elves show up during this but by pushing west you can lure them into the open, then turn around after wiping out the dwarves to wipe them out too.

After all this the mages were still walking around the plains, and were spread everywhere so I mostly picked them off.
(5) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
(6) What suggestions do you have to make it more fun?
