Wesnoth 1.14.11, hardest: 'Great Mage' (difficult), no reloading during campaign; played the scenario many timesContent Feedback wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2009, 10:31 pm 1) What difficulty levels have you played the scenario on?
5 (in comparison with the rest of the campaign)Content Feedback wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2009, 10:31 pm (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
Clear.Content Feedback wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2009, 10:31 pm (3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
The part about "distract and organize counterattack" doesnt make proper sense. While this may (or may not - I dont know) be correct on easier difficulties on the hardest one the AI is more a hindrance (due to the need to protect it).Content Feedback wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2009, 10:31 pm (4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
Only major challenge is to protect the AI. In this replay I did it by attracting most of its forces with my own forces. But this only works due to the artificial stupidity of the "AI".Content Feedback wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2009, 10:31 pm (5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?

Somehow fix the issue with the AI needing to be protected without this being properly possible. The approach used by me in the replay only works due to the particular AI behavior.Content Feedback wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2009, 10:31 pm (7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
No.Content Feedback wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2009, 10:31 pm (8) Was there any event that caused you to lose the game and forced you to reload or restart the scenario?
(Didnt look at the WML.)Content Feedback wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2009, 10:31 pm (9) If you know a bit of the Wesnoth Markup Language - do you think that the WML of this scenario is clear and well commented? If not which part would you like to be documented better?

1) What difficulty levels have you played the scenario on? Challenging 1.18.4
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 4
(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? Clear
(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario? Good
(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
No major challenges. I realize that this campaign still uses the old 80% carryover format, so at this point I am coming in with a very nice amount of starting gold, I could probably have ended the scenario with even more gold by not overrecruiting. The strategy was simply to defend the south river bank, using bowmen to inflict the most retaliation against archers and assassins, while my 2 white mages healed and cured. Spearmen and horsemen came in for a push on the second day, to end the scenario fairly quickly.
(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10) 6, nice change of pace from fighting on plains.
(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun? Perhaps add a ford on the river to make it a bit harder to defend?
(8) Was there any event that caused you to lose the game and forced you to reload or restart the scenario? None

Re: Scenario 4: Leollyn
(1) What difficulty levels have you played the scenario on?
Version 1.18.4, Biased RNG (experimental), difficulty Great Mage (Difficult) ( = hard)
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
8
This was the first time in this campaign where my troops neared exhaustion.
(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
Very clear.
(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
Very clear.
(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
Keeping the defense line tight in the first night. It didn't work out on the first try. All these assassins prevent healing when it's needed the most. Orcish Archers are pretty strong at night.
(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
7
(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
Get ally Leollyn more involved, Orcs send only 2 units there. For compensation, probably more base income for the orcs, enough for 2 units/turn while he has all his villages.
Leollyn is so bored that his Mages walk to the enemy keep undisturbed and kill the leader, ending the scenario at turn 12 (of 24) already.
(8) Was there any event that caused you to lose the game and forced you to reload or restart the scenario?
Holding the defense line at night required a couple of tries. Also repeated turn 12 after being stunned Leollyn's Mages would end the scenario, stealing the XP I want.
