I'm playing 1.19... so it is not supported yet.
You might want to install version 1.18, which is the stable version; version 1.19 is the development version which is likely to have bugs.

If you really want to try playing Imperial Era on 1.19, you could download the Imperial_Era.tar.bz2 file from https://addons.wesnoth.org/1.18/ and then unpack it in your add-ons folder. It will likely work (but again, it may have bugs).
Thanks, I installed flatpak of both the latest 1.18 and 1.19, I will test it on both versions and report any bugs. The campaign looks nice!
