"Mark topics read" should affect subforums, too

Post by egallager »

Often times I'll click the "Mark topics read" button in the Users' Forum and find myself wishing it marked the Tournaments subforum as "read" too... If changing the meaning of the existing "Mark topics read" button isn't possible (or wanted), how about adding a separate "Mark subforums read" button instead?

Making those types of changes to the phpbb3 functionality would require an existing phpbb extension. We don't want to be making these sorts of customizations ourselves.

Well ok in that case how about un-nesting the "Tournaments" forum from the "Users' Forum" so it no longer counts as a sub-forum of it?

I don't want it to take up the additional space, and it's also not the first sub-forum to exist.
