High-quality Wesnoth logo version

Post by melinath »

I've been trying to find a high-quality version of the wesnoth logo (shield and crossed swords). The best I can find, after looking through the forums and wikis for a while, is the version for localizing the game title, which comes in at 171x189px. Is there a higher-quality version available somewhere that I'm missing? Or that someone has stored locally?

This exists, but I don't know if anyone ever got a copy of the original file.

Gah! I looked through that thread, but somehow missed that. That's plenty high quality for what I need. Thanks!

Here's a somewhat cleaned-up version of the logo with a transparent background, if anyone's interested. Would be better to have the original, of course. But barring that...

Did you try sending a PM to Sgt. Groovy?

Do you have the original .svg file then? Are you able to post it?

No, I do not have the original SVG file at this point. If I ever get anything, I'll be sure to post it here.

I've gotten larger versions from Sgt. Groovy, posted here in case anyone wants them. If anyone still wants an SVG version, you'll have to ask the Sgt. about it.

Awesome! I wonder if we can get this into 1.12. It looks so much better than the current one.

Reviving this thread ...

I am slowly preparing old wesnoth stuff and needed a remote, smallish icon for
wesnoth. In other words, a logo, like the one here (but smaller that is).

My two requests are:

(1) Could someone add a few more logos/icons, ideally smaller ones? Things that
could be easily embedded into a website.

(2) Could this also be hosted somewhere on wesnoth.org other than the forum?
Ideally I'd love some static URL for the logo; the URL at the webforum is fine,
so this is not so important. (1) is more important.

(Yes I can modify it myself, narrow it down and then put it on imgur but
who knows how long imgur will host that...)

It is probably safe to use the icons in the GitHub repository:
