Autosave Errors and Deleted Save Games

OS: Windows 10 (10.0.18362)
Wesnoth: Version 1.14.13 (Steam)

Loaded a savegame on a campaign (Descent into Darkness, very start of scenario 9, A Small Favor - Part Two) and noticed that an error would pop up on the beginning of my turns, saying that autosaves could not be made. Confused, I exited out of the game and reentered only to find all of my save games have been deleted. Directory seems to have remained unchanged, is there any way of recovering the savegames?

Fixed! Turns out that I recently enabled Controlled Folder Access on Windows 10 and it didn't recognize Wesnoth and subsequently blocked it from accessing documents. Allowed it access and now it works fine!
