Defeated Players and the Fog of War
Hi.
Recently, I played a few games with my friends, most times 5-players all-vs-all, using the stable vs. 1.14.
It's fun and all, but as soon as a player is defeated and surrenders, the host is given the control over the slot, resulting the host to see nothing between his turns; as more players get nuked, this problem gets worse. He can give_control over the slot back to the defeated player, but then the defeated player is blind (and can't watch the game).
Is there a workaround for V1.14?
And: Is it possible to just drop slots without any units and thus without any sight?
Thank you
Greetings Mumbo

Re: Defeated Players and the Fog of War
For 1.15 and later it will be possible to use the command
droid <side> all
to accomplish this. It's not possible to add this to 1.14, however.99 little bugs in the code, 99 little bugs

Thanks to both of you, cool that this got allrdy handled
Wouldn't it be good to make non-unit players that left/surrendered droid per default?

Re: Defeated Players and the Fog of War
Leaving that as an explicit choice is probably best. For example, otherwise there would be cases where someone may drop because of a connection, then the AI immediately takes over and ruins what they had been planning to do.

If you have no units, your turn is skipped even if you may have menu items available.
