What should we do?

Leave them as they are, I like my units doing less damage when they level up

Give them an 8-5 blade, I think they should have 3 seperate melee attacks

Make holy attacks do 100% damage, I want MoLs to be more powerful

Never mind the Paladin but give the Grand Knight 8 moves, its magic armor makes it faster

What, you can upload .txt files? I didn't know that... it isn't listed in the allowed upload formats list, IIRC...

In fact, having the paladdin carry both a holy sacred sword and a standard rusty sword annoys me. And a spear... Now humans have their own Drake Gladiator too. I find such a change too artificial for such a small benefit.

(for those who wonder, yes the dwarves that carry both an axe and a hammer also annoy me)

No-one said they're not two attacks of the same weapon. (Like the halbærdier's attacks)

Well it would be cool if there was a animation where he made it holy and then... like a kind of magic animation just with his sword.

Yeah...we were at one stage discussing making it possible for a weapon to have multiple attack types. E.g. a Paladin's Sword could be holy + bladed. The game would just automatically choose the best attack type against the enemy being attacked.

However it was decided that a simpler solution was to avoid any code changes, and just list the two different attack types as different attacks.

I'm bothered by the dwarves too.

However, this brings to mind a more pertinent idea - in the interests of intuition, would it be alright to name attacks relative to their type? I really think this would help people figure these things out much more naturally.

For example, for the Triton:
"Trident (Slash)"
"Trident (Stab)"

And the dwarf could potentially have two attacks with one weapon:
"Axe (Slash)"
"Axe (Smash)"

I'm not sure I understand the objection here. There are plenty of examples of war hammers with a blade on the reverse. All the dwarf does is to turn his weapon in his hand!

This is what he should do, and what jetryl is (AFAICT) suggesting. But if you look at the attack image, that is obviously not what he does; instead, he pulls out a completely new hammer he was hiding somewhere, with no trace of an axeblade on it, and hits them with that.
