No, I understood you had made the switch to an idle animation. But while squatting (or whatever), the thug is still breathing (or whatever that chest compression/extenssion is supposed to be if it's not breathing), and my comment was aimed at that. Then again, I am not a graphic artist, but still. Don't give up!

Looks good! However, his right hand bothers me some reason. It just doesn't seem to be correct with the rest of his arm when it's fully extended.
Sorta on a break from the forums ATM, have been for a while. If I was doing something for/with you and I haven't recently, that's why, I will be back soon hopefully.

Looks better. Though in the transition you seem to have shortened the amount of time he spends with his arms extended, so he doesn't exactly look like he's stretching. Other than that it looks great. :)

First of all, the animation is good, but there are some things that IMO should be changed:

-It doesn't look very smooth. maybe his body shouldn't move that much or in a different moment when the hands are in different position.
-His face is moving weirdly. It looks like if its upper half moves first and than the half below.
-Try doing something with the shadow. It makes it look more static.
-There are some white pixels appearing at the right bottom. Remove that.
-I don't see a reason why the piece of his robe at the bottom left should move. Consider removing it too.
All mistakes included in the message above are intentional.
You can buy a version without mistakes for 5$ each.

A standing animation for most units is supposed to represent the character breathing (hard). All the motion should be a consequence of their breathing. The first one here is a good example of what I mean. You are animating the characters moving their arms around and shifting on their feet instead.

Maybe nobody is commenting because you have started half a dozen animations, but you never finished them. When people point out problems that need to be fixed, you sometimes try a couple times, but then you give up and start a new animation. That makes commenting a waste of time. I suggest you pick one you already started and work on the problems that were pointed out. (Not the bandit though. Any of the other ones have more potential.)

A long time ago, on page 55, someone was working on grunt's idle animation. I doubt they are coming back, so I took the liberty of improving his work. It's still far from good, but it's my first time working on an animation and I'd like to hear as much feedback as possible
Two things I know I have to improve: both of his arms, they should eventually move and his centered head looks weird.
One thing I need help with: I'm not sure what to do with these two ribbons attached to his helmet. Should they move with his head (like now), or should they always face the same direction, as if they are being blown by a breeze? Oh, and one more thing: should his cape move a little or can it remain still?
Thanks :)

You really must read this: http://wiki.wesnoth.org/Basic_Animation_Tutorial. It's not to the point where those questions can be reasonably answered.

Alright, take two incoming. I think it's kinda better, but before moving on to animating his cape and shadowing I'd like to hear your opinions. Especially about these two ribbons. Is their movement ok? I think from frames 8-10 they might appear too long, but the tutorial said it's better to exaggerate...
Obviously this animation will work only after making standing animation, but since I will have already done frames for ribbons' movement and breathing it shouldn't be hard
