I had to reinstall my OS and my scores are gone!
Linux fedora
I backed up the contents of my home directory and after reinstalling I copied all the files back but my saves and scores and everything (despite the fact I can see them in the .wesnoth directory,) are not visible in the game. What should I do?
I don't what to play the whole thing (some 6 campains,) again.

Are you saying that it no longer says which campaigns you finished?
Just replay the ones you finished using debug. They'll be marked as done.

Sorta on a break from the forums ATM, have been for a while. If I was doing something for/with you and I haven't recently, that's why, I will be back soon hopefully.
Re: I had to reinstall my OS and my scores are gone!
If you reinstalled your OS, did you by any chance also upgrade the version of Wesnoth? The
~/.wesnoth
directory was the standard for 1.8, while 1.10 uses ~/.local/share/wesnoth/1.10/
as default (if your packager didn't change anything, that is).UMC Story Images — Story images for your campaign!

Anyway, you can edit that file (named preferences.cfg) to add which campaigns you completed if you have lost that file you probably did.
If it is different on Fedora than on usual operating systems, you can locate that file by viewing the terminal log if you open wesnoth in it (the command is either wesnoth or wesnoth-1.10 or something similar).

Yes, I upgraded my version of wesnoth. I have found your advice helpful. Thanks
