[Poll Ended] Vote Wesnoth for SourceForge’s April PotM

Post by Iris »

The Battle for Wesnoth has been selected as one of several registered SourceForge.net projects that can become this April’s Project of the Month! However, in order for it to win, we’ll need your help, faithful users. We need you to vote for us in SourceForge.net’s Twitter poll and spread the word so that everyone you know can help!
The Project of the Month will get top billing on the SourceForge.net front page for the entire month of April, a blog post and podcast, additional promotion on Twitter and Facebook, and of course, more users and potential contributors!
Author of the unofficial UtBS sequels Invasion from the Unknown and After the Storm.

One should note that one needs a Twitter account to take part in this poll, supposedly to have everyone vote only once.

Come on guys, get in there and vote if you can! Elastix is currently beating us 115 to 39. We don't want "appliance software that integrates the best tools available for Asterisk-based PBXs into a easy-to-use interface" to beat Wesnoth! We need to step it up! :D

Yeah, the poll seems to require a Twitter account. Which is odd; I would have thought they'd use sourceforge accounts instead of doing a Twitter poll. *shrug* It was probably easier to set it up as a Twitter poll, seeing how the poll isn't actually hosted on SourceForge.net.

You have to have a Twitter account to vote? That's lousy. :|

I'm afraid I don't plan on signing up for Twitter just to vote on this.

Nevertheless, good luck, Wesnoth!

Hmm, yeah. I wish I had a Twitter. Here's a mental vote though.

I registered 7 IDs to vote wesnoth, but it seems still not enough. Does anybody vote more to it?

Here are the live results of the poll (the linked page should be constantly updated as more votes come in). You don't need a Twitter account to see the results.

Wait, you're saying you created 7 twitter accounts and voted 7 times? :|

Obviously no one here can stop you from doing that, but I consider that cheating. Your enthusiasm and loyalty to Wesnoth are commendable, but cheating gives Wesnoth a bad name, and quite honestly it won't really affect the final results of the poll... right now there's a gap of over four hundred votes between us and the current leader.
