Re: Wesnoth 1.10.0
I have just seen a bug that was reported in previous versions come up again:
http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php ... 6&p=494116
I believe the trigger was restarting the previous scenario from the 1st turn on 2 or 3 occasions. If anyone else has reported this occuring in 1.10 already, apologies, but I felt it worth bringing up again.

Can you use saves from 1.8.6 in this version? I think the answer is no, but I don't have a platform to test right now.

I think you can. It will ask if you want to try and load a save from an old game (it has to be in your saves directory). Click yes, it should work.

You should only use start of scenario saves - even then, there is no guarantee that this works, of course.ace214 wrote:Can you use saves from 1.8.6 in this version?

Re: Wesnoth 1.10.0
Do you know why OpenSuSE has not released yet the 1.10 packages?
It is more than 2 weeks since the 1.10 release... I'm no shy to compile it, but I'd rather have a clean package. Any ideas?

Well, I do... the package maintainer seems to be inactive. I mailed him on the topic a good week ago, no response yet.
However, there are some 1.10 builds from third parties in OBS, like this.
EDIT: Oh well, and it's openSUSE...

Onfortunately the 11.4 one is incomplete, it does not have the data file. Anybody know a repository for openSUSE 11.4?lipk wrote:Well, I do... the package maintainer seems to be inactive. I mailed him on the topic a good week ago, no response yet.

Seems you can use the 12.1 data from the 12.1 repository from the same website. And it won’t until the person in charge of that fixes it, amongst other things of greater importance. Just be patient and don’t bump this topic (which concerns 1.10.0, not the latest release or the website) again.
Also, in case it isn’t clear from the various announcements for the betas, RCs and stable versions, the 1.9.x add-ons server is the 1.10.x add-ons server.
