[Complete] Best two units, the tournament

Everything started here, with Superking asking which 2 units faction would be the best one.
Unable to agree, we decided to launch this friendly tournament in order to close the dispute

Rules:
- This is a 1v1 tournament.
- The group phase is on Wesnoth 1.9, the final will be on Wesnoth 1.10
- On registering, each player must choose 2 units picked from the default wesnoth multiplayer factions: then only these 2 units will be available for recruiting for that player, for every game to be played.
- The leader will be Elvish Lady for everyone.
- The PYR era attached to this post is to be used for this tournament.
- We will play on PYR-Maps / author: nani in order to have the actual battle starts at the correct ToD.
- The tournament will be on a round-robin basis: every player must play everybody else in their group once, and each map will be played once by each player.
- Sides will be shuffled.
- The tournament is for 18 players.
- The players will be randomly assigned into 3 groups of 6.
- That first group phase has ended on January 30th.
- The top 2 players in each group will then go through to the final group of 6.
- In the case of tie-break we will use the earliest turns game won to decide.
- Other rules are still open to discussion

Does this require some add-on? I looked at the official add-on server, but I didn't find anything like this.

You could use the PYR Armageddon addon.
It allows more than 2 recruits but you can limit yourself to 2 units of course. It has slighty modified unit costs though.

Good rule:If you do past 2 recruits, you get a lose for the round.

IMHO there shouldn't be a rule for the leader, I mean what would you take if you choose Cav and Footpad e.g., there just is no suitable leader.

Would've been my first choice as well, but I thought the Adept was already taken.
