AngelHeart's maps for Unreal Tournament 2004, just about anywhere in Uncharted 2, and the autumn castle picture from TSG, amongst others.
I have no idea what the non-game artworks I like are called, which makes it somewhat difficult to name them.

yeah, those backdrops in some parts of Assassins creed were pretty epic. I think my favorite art is pictures. couldn't find my favorite digital painting, but I sure love art about the sunrise. very beautiful

Even though rather gruesome, Judith Slaying Holofernes by Artemisia Gentileschi has always made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Her other stuff is great too.

If we include works of architecture as art, then just about anything by Antoni Gaudi.
