Re: The History of Wesnoth Forums
Man, I even don't know if 8680's updating his post... Gambot won't report edited posts...
8680: I am really impressed.. Your eyes are really keen..
And yeah... I noticed some Forum Regulars that are actually Moderator Emeritis after I searched in their post under 'locked' keyword.

Thank you.atomicbomb wrote:8680: I am really impressed.. Your eyes are really keen..
You have access to Gambot?atomicbomb wrote:Gambot won't report edited posts...
edit : There's been an odd influx of undesirables lately. I don't remember seeing any trolls, spammers, etc. for at least a year, and now in the last month or so there've been two people trying to sell stuff.

Summer is approaching. Prepare yourself. The kids have nothing better to do.8680 wrote: edit : There's been an odd influx of undesirables lately. I don't remember seeing any trolls, spammers, etc. for at least a year, and now in the last month or so there've been two people trying to sell stuff.
Re: The History of Wesnoth Forums
Nothing better to do than fail at selling computers? I guess I'm really out of touch with the modern school system.
Re: The History of Wesnoth Forums
Sometimes it's not about selling computers but about flooding a forum with spam and seeing how people rage and can't communicate. My buddy made a spambot and he used to do so with certain forums. One forum even had to do a major shut down. Or so he says. Anyway, back on topic...
Oh, I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?
Re: The History of Wesnoth Forums
Ah well I meant the troll kids.8680 wrote:Nothing better to do than fail at selling computers? I guess I'm really out of touch with the modern school system.
The spambots are pretty much a constant. Shadowmaster generally ninjas them in the back before any of us see, but they're really about one or two a day.

There, fixed that for you.8680 wrote:Nothing better to do than fail at selling viagra? I guess I'm really out of touch with the modern school system.

Wow, he's fast. I thought we'd been somehow overlooked by spammers. Hmm... firststrike, or some fancy Lua thing that restores moves and attacks_left after killing a spambot?Gambit wrote:The spambots are pretty much a constant. Re: The History of Wesnoth Forums
The second option is overpowered, imo. Firststrike sounds good, though, but if you feel it's on the lacking side, maybe a simple "double damage on bots" or something along those lines could be implanted.8680 wrote: Wow, he's fast. This is the current head admin we're talking about. I'd estimate him to be Level 6-8 while in Wesnoth-Forum-Land; I think it'll take more than that to make him overpowered.

So... Your country's children make bots in their summer holiday?Gambit wrote:Summer is approaching. Prepare yourself. The kids have nothing better to do.
Remember that he's still human too... Maybe there's higher level web-anonymous around.8680 wrote:This is the current head admin we're talking about. I'd estimate him to be Level 6-8 while in Wesnoth-Forum-Land; I think it'll take more than that to make him overpowered.
And 8680.. I'm still laughing after I saw your collection of forum jokes post...

Uh… no. That's not right at all. That's for email subscriptions. That's built in to phpbb.atomicbomb wrote:Everytime you click the subscribe topic button, you're using Gambot.8680 wrote:You have access to Gambot?
Gambot is a separate entity. It lets you subscribe for updates on IRC.

He'd only be Level 1 outside of Wesnoth-Forum-Land. And no unit, no matter how high-level, is invincible.atomicbomb wrote:Remember that he's still human too... Re: The History of Wesnoth Forums
It doesn't matter how high level he is. Just set a trap he can't resist.
This isn't the first time we've tried this though.
Code: Select all
[event]
name = attacker_hits
[filter]
type = forum_lord
[/filter]
[filter_second]
type = spambot
[/filter_second]
[kill]
x,y = $x1,$y1
