I have the wesnoth 1.8.0, Mac OS 10.4.11 and i am having problems with uploading add-on.
Error: Add-on rejected: didn't specify a known type for add-on.

That's mine for TEG which has just worked with the wesnoth-addon-manager and 1.9 server few days ago. Your type seems correct but your version= is in wrong format and icon= path is wrong.

Anonymissimus, 0.1 seems similar to the first example of a good version value?
Leuteinant, where did you put the file? Also, you could try changing the file's suffix (the extension) to lowercase.
There's already a two page thread about your endeavors and some smart folks are/were trying to help you out; not sure how useful it is to start another here.
Please zip the entire directory structure (everything: the era and the _server.pbl file) and attach it to a post or upload it somewhere...

Yeah, me too.
So, the problem has nothing to do with the add-on or the .pbl file.
Leuteinant, you should probably upgrade your Wesnoth version to 1.8.4 and try again.
