That whole game was ridiculous. watch the end half of this replay. There are three American players being held across the waist by Slovenian players. They're practically hugging them and one even knocked another on the ground.

Us Germans, we look forward to the never-old classic against England. However, who says that Argentina will beat Mexico, that Spain even makes it two the ko-round, or that Brazil will make it to the finals? He have serious doubt about all that happening.

Maaan, that was one fine piece of a match. Too bad England missed that second goal (they definitely did, as you can see here ...).
No, seriously, one could rant about the psychologic effects of such a crappy decision referee. But it all comes to this: gg. Period.

England got Müllered?

Me, as a German supporter, I may sound arrogant, but I feel it would have not turned out different if that goal would have been given. Apart from that decision, it was a game that was nice to watch, which is rare in this WC.
I am also quite impressed about the fairplay throughout the match. No harsh challenges, no diving (that is addressed at my team), no trying to influence the ref from either side. Nice.

Nice game indeed, well done both teams, gratz to the Germans. Now that Mexico is gone, you're next :P

I hope it will be another great match. Hopefully as thrilling as 2006...maybe with the same result...?

Gah!! Germany wins again

I mean, it was all the referee's fault that we lost, I mean, we could have srsly bounced back and won 4-2...rly :lol2: *rambles on about unfairness*

No, let's be honest, you're totally right HomerJ, congrats to the Germans, England was totally outplayed for about 85mins of the match  :hmm:

Anyway, now that my fav. team's out, I'll be rooting for Germany all the way!! Go, go, go Deutschland, knock the stuffing out of Maradona's crew!! :D

Did I mention that I hate football? Not so much the game as the fans.
At least in Germany you could think their first borns life depends on it.

A most popular quote that floats around here goes something like this:
"If you hear people talk, you get the impression this game today is about life or death. Of course that is nonsense. It is much more serious!"

And yes, fans can be annoying, but that is not restricted to a specific nationality or sport.

Ah well since I'm German and I see it on a daily base I am biased.
Last time we were in the semi-final we got some nice unsocial laws pushed though legislation an no one cared...
I see the end is near.
