I have been having issues with that - there's not much difference between them besides level, so it's an issue to make them significantly different besides size, but I see that issue with the Wose in mainline - it's rather difficult to tell the difference between an Elder Wose and an Ancient Wose without comparing them.

I gave the top-level the vine to try and differentiate him, but as it stands right now, it would be kind of awkward for him NOT to have an attack with it.

I'm still playing around with it; a couple of ideas I had was changing the bark/leaf color.

That would definitely help, if you want to make that much of a change.

Here's another miscellaneous work.

I'm still a bit unhappy with the pike/point; it doesn't seem like I can give it definition without making it too dark/wide.

EDIT: a 72x72 version.

EDIT: Now knowing the issues with units larger than 72x72, the tall version is deleted.

Alright, so I made some more differences in the Dryad line.

They now have slightly different bark colors (purple for L1, blue-green for L2, grayish blue (very dark) for L3).

I've also added in a general theme of the leaves from "summer" to "autumn." I realize it doesn't make much sense to keep the flowers into the autumn leaf cycle, but that's the only conceivable way I thought of to do Team Color, and WINR, so.

You've improved a lot since you made those. The lighting and texture don't make any sense--I don't know if you feel like making that big an update to them right now, but at the very least you could give them outlines.

I didn't make these from scratch; I based them off of a sprite that Wayfarer made (they are, however, pretty heavily edited at this point).

I'm personally pretty happy with the texture, which I think looks sufficiently "bark-like." I may give the lighting one last go, but I'm pretty happy with these sprites atm.

More procrastinating.

EDIT: A new version with better legs.

EDIT: Forgot the other two legs  . Also, I made the highlight for the ridge better; it now looks more... ridge-like.

EDIT: Might as well remove the oldies.

The second was an edited version.

Glaivesman:

The thing that strikes me is that the outlines are too dark and all of a uniform color. Outline the parts with direct light exposure in lighter colors than you would those parts that are in shadow. Also, it generally looks better to outline using a darker shade of the same color as the part you're outlining. You have done some of this last point already, but other parts (such as the shield and helmet) could use some of the same.

Hurm, well I'll try varying the value of the borders where the light is strongest.

All of the borders are already V10 shades of the color they border; there's not a single V0 pixel in the piece.
