Wesnoth cant open!

before i reformatted my computer wesnoth worked fine. but now it doesnt every time i download it, it says i need a program to open it i used winrar but it just turned it into a file but i could never end up downloading it. what program do i need to open it???

Probably you have downloaded the source code. If you are using windows don't download that (but if you don't know what it is don't download it also with the others os). Try instead to download the windows version of the game (you can download the stable version from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/wesnoth ... e/download).
