Amazing Island (1v1v1 map)

That's all I could capture in one screenshot. Anyway, this is my first try at making a 1v1v1 map that works well and making it aesthetically pleasing at the same time. I tried to place the villages in strategic locations so that every player can get the same number of villages, but there's only so much you can do without testing.

As far as the map file there are two versions. The 1.7.6 version has newer tiles, and also is a bit newer. The 1.6.5 version of the map has a few minor differences, but is ultimately the same map visually. The 1.7.6 version is named "Amazing Island."

Here are the files
1.7.6: http://h1.ripway.com/ipressthebuttons/w ... g%20Island
1.6.5: http://h1.ripway.com/ipressthebuttons/wesnoth/Rompus

Feedback is appreciated

From the aerial view it looks like Dwarvish Heaven...

This seems like a very defensive map to me, especially for the already defensive dwarves. I've never seen those (presumably) villages that are very tall. One is next to the player 2 keep. Is that custom terrain?

1.7.6 terrain

and if you look at the minimap at the top right, a lot of the mountains are "impassable."

Then please use the impassable mountain terrain (with the mists) so that it is more obvious to both commenters and players.

EDIT though even with that, it looks to be a very good map for knalgans.
