Fair enough. If you are pushing against someone shield to shield trying to knock them over or maneuver them to get a clean blow, if you brace with the shield against someone running at you to take the impact, that will certainly put pressure on the shield to bend and so those weaknesses could be telling as well. As you said though, it's a balance of realism versus visual effect so it might turn out fine in the end.

Sgt. Groovy could you post a version with a transparent background that I could use?

It is still work in progress. When it's ready, I will.

I don't know when he'll have time, but I just wanted to encourage Groovy to continue on this when he gets the chance. This is a really important project for wesnoth, here, and it looks to be nearly done. :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I've had some problems with my computer, but they're solved now, so I'll get back to this project pronto.

Are there any news regarding this *great* work? Would be nice to know if we will soon have a lovely new sigil that can easily be used eg to create stickers or other stuff like this.

Ditto.

Has Sgt. Groovy fallen off the face of the earth?

Looks great and has come a long way, would be a shame if it was for nothing...

Remember this is all opensource community stuff.

If he never shows up again I'm sure someone else will finish it at some point. The latest version is in this thread for anyone to download.

I do remember, hence why a) I want it and b) I'm worried ;) J/k....

But for real - I read most of the 10 pages in this thread and while I saw plenty of visuals I must have missed out on where the original file can be downloaded (I'm talking about the vector one now). If it's there maybe it would help if a moderator would edit the first post and add it in there to make it easier for people to see the progress and where to download from.

I haven't read the thread I just saw the pictures and assumed thats what you need, I didn't know more was needed.

Maybe I'm wrong and a new one will have to be made from scratch :(
