Hey! no fair you picked the perfect counter to me. I think Calvaryman is my faction's major weakness since I didn't get any pierce damage other than merman hunter. But, if the map has a sufficient amount of water I think I could still beat you.F8 Binds... wrote:My picks...

I think F8 has the best setup so far. I avoided this configuration because choosing Burners over Dark Adepts was a tough call. But, ulf + shaman is the ultimate abuse. Congrats. One of the advantages I do have over your faction, though, is that my units are a good bit cheaper... so I might be able to use that to gain an edge in the beginning, and if I make a mistake it would potentially be less costly.

It's been awhile since I played but here I go...
- Elvish Shaman
- Saurian Skirmisher
- Orcish Grunt
- Dark Adept
- Naga Fighter
Shaman: Healing + Slow
Skirmisher: Pierce + Skirmisher
Grunt: Cheap + Tough
Dark Adept: Ranged Combat + Magic
Naga Fighter: Only non-lawful cheap flying/water unit
I'm not a fan of expensive units in the least, can you tell?

Just reporting a victory of my army (swapping wolf out for footpad) over F8s, though to be fair, he was not playing carefully, and his offence lacked luck.

5: Merman hunter.

With level 1 only units:
1. Footpad - This would be the bulk of my force. Fast, reasonable melee and missile attack, great defence. There is nothing bad about them and they just get awesome when upgraded.
2. Elivsh Shaman - Fast, healing, slow ability, upgrade paths.
3. Troll Whelp - Self healing clobberer. Have to babysit them a bit though.
4. Elvish Archer - Good ranged and fair melee. Generally good defence.
5. Mage - Magic attack, many upgrade paths and powerful when upgraded.
And just pipped, Merman Hunter, only because there's not that much water around...
