Art for Tale of a Mage
I read what was said about only expect help from an artist if you are willing to put the effort to finish the code. I now have 25 scenarios completely finished(maybe still need a little polishing) and my campaign is 3/4 of the way done. Those of you who have played my campaign know I am using placeholder graphics for now.
The placeholders are pretty good for now so I'm not really in any hurry, but if sometime in future some artist is bored enough to work on this I would be happy to include it. I will probably attempt to draw my own art for now (though I warn you I'm a terrible artist.)

Re: Art for The Life of a Mage
I might be able to do a new base image for the mage apprentice, but I wouldn't animate it (you'd have to).
Would you want it?

Rod has already made a child, which I'm sure you can use:

Re: Art for The Life of a Mage
i think having children units in wesnoth could be a quite controversial issue...
Re: Art for The Life of a Mage
One could probably say the same thing about the Marauder Scout being enlisted around 8-9 (In the Imperial Era).Max2008 wrote:i think having children units in wesnoth could be a quite controversial issue...
But they do it anyway...

How so?Max2008 wrote:i think having children units in wesnoth could be a quite controversial issue...
If I can't get a complete set of animations, I'll have to make them myself. If it has a full animation then hurray , I'd love it. If not I'd better use the sprite I made because I would be better able to work with it.xer wrote:Yeah there is an attack, I think.

Because 1. They can die. I wouldn't want to send children to their death, even if they're fictionalSkeleRanger wrote:How so?Max2008 wrote:i think having children units in wesnoth could be a quite controversial issue...
2. They can fight. Child soldiers are a major issue in many parts of the world, and are generally frowned upon.

Re: Art for The Life of a Mage
Ah, I see your point. I don't think I'll have that problem as the children won't be deployed as military units. The object is to protect them.Rex Umbrarum wrote:Because 1. They can die. I wouldn't want to send children to their death, even if they're fictional

Re: Art for The Life of a Mage
Ah, he also created a child fighter, which is almost identical except it has a club, so no, there isn't any atack or def anims yet.
Although, I'm still working on my campaign with Rod, so at some point or another it will have anims.
