Ranged frames...

(Note that in the other thread I've posted all the compiled animations for the fighter and archer so far)

well this is my first time posting in an art thread so I will try to follow the critique guide :)

they look great however the bow looks a little funny on the top sprite

I have some experience in archery and all the bows I have used bend further from the handhold.. more in an oval shape then the sort of triangle shape he has now.

Good work, but you need to clean the bows, there is a lot of noise surrounding them.

@jdsamyao, binaryquasar: I'm not sure those are things I can fix; they seem more like quirks that come when posting...

Assuming that the archer is done, I've made the rough version of the captain. My current concern is making him look more different from the fighter.

The archer is done except for this - these bows need to be cleaned up to look less jagged/blurry.

They are better than the previous ones, but they need more definition, especially in the bottom.
BTW, what is the difference between this thread and this one. I think it is a waste that you upload your work twice.

I don't really see any problem with them when I begin to edit them. I do know that they don't look as good when I actually post them; on my computer at least. Does that contribute to it?

Uhmm, really I don't know, it will be matter of taste from the actual maintainer of the campaign, I only wanted to point it, because it really looks bad the bottom part of the bows in that specific sprites, but overall they are very good.

I don't really see anything I could modify as I open it up in GIMP, so I don't really know what to do besides consider them complete and go back to work on the Captain.

I'd change the skulls from the Orcish Sovereign's banner to something else, probably just the top of the pole, and maybe think about making the top of the anner the same as the elvish marshall's one. But this is a good frankenstein, nice work. I just hope you can animate it without that banner looking really awkward the way the Sovereign's does. Maybe just have him drop it on the floor in the first frames of the first animation of a combat and the pick it back up at the end.

Modified with longer banner that isn't so close to his face.

@spaceinvader: I already replaced the original skulls with the skull from the lich staff. I don't really want the top to be completely blank, but I'm open to suggestions on what to replace the skull with.
